DECAGON Sensors are used on Martian Soil by great success during 2007-2008. In 2007, Decagon worked with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory on the Phoenix Lander that traveled to Mars to develop a sensor that went on the lander’s arm to measure the dielectric permittivity, thermal properties, and EC of the Martian soil. One of the principal scientists on the Project, Mike Hecht, recently visited Decagon and recorded this virtual seminar about the Project, and whta we have learned.
